My love of the Birmans started many years ago when seeing this beuatiful semi-long coated cat at a show.
My first reaction was that they looked as if they had dipped their paws in cream! This was the characteristic of the Birman, they must have white paws. The front paws we describe as "gloves".
The rear paws should show an even line of white running from the white paws up to the hock. These are known as "Gauntlets".
We breed for temprement and type and all our Birmans are known for their superb temperament.
They just want lots of love, good food and a comfortable sleeping place, preferably on a lap. These are very sociable felines and require company.
I have a safe penning area with large runs and many of my kittens come back to stay with me whilst their owners are on holiday. This is such a bonus as I can keep up with their development and they are all happy in their safe runs and heated houses.
